The future of the public intellectual : This is an interesting article from intellectuals talking about the position and future of public intellectuals. In our opinion the individuals that develop into public intellectuals can play an important role in society in case they have the correct attitude and are able through their skills to make a difference.

The seven liberal arts : The expression artes liberales are those branches of knowledge which were taught in the schools of the Middle Ages. They are called liberal because they serve the purpose of training the free man. This in contrast with the artes illiberales, which are pursued for economic purposes; their aim is to prepare the student not for gaining a livelihood, but for the pursuit of science in the strict sense of the term, i.e. the combination of philosophy and theology known as scholasticism.
